paymatrix is a shared-expense tracking application for trips, flatmates, friends, and everyday plans. It records who paid, supports flexible splits, and shows the balances that remain to be settled.
What the app does
Groups can record expenses, select the people involved, assign one or multiple payers, and divide the cost using the arrangement they actually agreed on.
paymatrix calculates balances from the shared ledger and keeps unconfirmed settlements out of finalized balance calculations.
What makes it different
Financial calculations use integer paise. Any remainder paise are assigned deterministically, which keeps every split equal to the original total instead of losing money to rounding.
The product also supports expenses funded by multiple people rather than forcing every expense to have only one payer.
Payment boundary
paymatrix can prepare a UPI QR code for direct payment between group members, but it does not hold money or prove that a payment succeeded. A settlement becomes part of the group record only after it is confirmed.
